The poster session is from 5pm to 7pm on Thursday, 31 July 2008
in the Amado Recital Room and Class of 1974 Lobby (Box Office) and Cafe '58 of Irvine Auditorium.
Refreshments will be served.

Posters may remain up through to near the end of the plenary sessions.

Note the slightly reduced time available for posters because of time required to set up and take down the poster boards. We were just told that setup may take until 2 pm on the 30th.

Posters are to be vertically oriented (portrait style) and should fit within a 34" wide x 47" high (or 86 x 120 cm) area (e.g. DIN A0 or U.S. E size). Posters may be set up beginning at 2 pm on July 30th and must be removed by noon on August 5th. Posters left after this will be discarded. Push pins for attaching the posters will be provided. No electrical power will be available for LCD screens or computers.

PDF files of the posters plus a short (3 page) write-up will be electronically published as a part of the conference proceedings.

Poster presenters may want to take advantage of local printing services to avoid carrying posters on airplanes.

The service we, at Penn, have used in the past, Kinko's, is located at 35th and Market Sts., less than four blocks from the conference site. Below is information we obtained from them recently as to cost and capability. • They prefer a pdf file and the poster will be proportional to the file size layout.
• The maximum width is 60-inches (152.4 cm)
• Types of paper and cost/square-foot (12-inches X 12-inches or 30.48 cm x 30.48 cm) are:

       matte   $7.75/sq-ft

       glossy  $8.00/sq-ft

       vinyl   $9.00/sq-ft

           plus 7% tax

• They would want someone to proof the file before printing
• The printing would be done normally within a few hours.
• The order can also be sent in electronically to the email below (but we suspect that being there in person would be safer).
